ScoreCard® Bonus Points explained

Now in addition to obtaining ACU’s low interest finance rates everytime you use the ACU Visa credit card, you earn ScoreCard® bonus points. The new ScoreCard® Points program, which debuted in February, gives Cardholders points that may be accumulated and used toward the purchase of airline miles or merchandise. When you log in to the ACU website to access your Visa account, there will be a OnLine summary of your earned ScoreCard® points. If you do not have a Visa credit card, please come in and apply for one.

How do I earn ScoreCard bonus points?
Simply use your Alameda Credit Union ScoreCard credit card and for every dollar in net purchases (sales minus returns), you will earn a ScoreCard bonus point.

How will I be notified of the number of points that I have accumulated?
Point information is communicated in an easy to read format on your ScoreCard statement. You may also obtain ScoreCard point information by calling 1-800-854-0790.

Can I combine my bonus points with those earned on more than one credit card or from other programs?
No. Points may not be combined from different card accounts or used in conjunction with other reward programs.

How do I redeem my points for one of the merchandise items?
Points can be redeemed for merchandise by either simply completing the ScoreCard Awards Order Form that can be printed from this web site or by filling out the shopping cart feature and ordering on line. The printed order form should be mailed to: ScoreCard Award Headquarters, PO Box 77011, Madison, WI 53707-1011

For merchandise redemptions, how long after I place my order should I expect to receive the shipment?
Generally, awards should arrive in 4-6 weeks after your order is received. Larger items may take several weeks longer. You will be notified if the item is to be drop shipped or if there is a delay in filling your order. If the item is no longer available a substitute of equal or greater value will be shipped. If a similar substitute is not available your order will be returned and you will be asked to make another award selection.

What happens if my merchandise awards arrive damaged?
Check your packages closely for any damage before signing to accept any packages. If there is damage, write a note on the delivery receipt before signing to accept the package. If after you open the package you find damage, follow the directions on your packing slip that comes with the package and notify ScoreCard Award Headquarters. You will be given instructions and a return authorization number to return the award for replacement.

Can I change or return my airline ticket if my plans change after the ticket is issued?
You may not return a ticket to ScoreCard Award Headquarters but you may contact an airline directly for changes. Any change is subject to the rules and regulations of the particular airline and is subject to change fees and penalties they may impose, if any.

With a schedule that does not allow me to stay over a Saturday night or to book the reservation 21 days in advance, can I still get an airline ticket?
The US 48/Canada point value provides you with the alternate choice to have a credit of up to $325 applied toward the purchase of an airline ticket to any destination, in any class of service, on any airline, at any time with no restrictions. The purchase of this “full option” ticket will require you pay an additional $25 service fee and any additional monies owed up to the full value of the ticket selected.

Is the Federally imposed Security fee included with my free/ full-option ticket?
No, like all the free airline frequent flyer tickets you are responsible for that fee. It will be collected at the time of booking the ticket and will be $2.50 per segment flown and will not exceed $5.00 per one-way or $10.00 per round trip.

If I don’t have enough points for the award I want can I buy the extra points I need?
A sufficient number of points must be available in your account to redeem for an award you may select. Points are not available for purchase.

How do I know how many points I have available to use to order awards?
You can always refer to your last ScoreCard point statement for an available point total. Soon you will also be able to see your available point totals on this ScoreCard Rewards web site. Watch for the announcement.

When can I order awards?
As long as your account is in good standing (not delinquent with your payment, cancelled or closed) you may order awards.

How do I order awards?
You may always print an order form to have available for ordering. You may also order from the on line shopping cart feature for merchandise. Airline tickets and cruises may be ordered by calling toll free to 1-800-842-3006 and booking your tickets with our ScoreCard Travel counselors. Certificates for rental cars and hotels are ordered by using the award order form and after completion mailing it to ScoreCard Award Headquarters. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery of car rental/hotel certificates.

Call ACU for a complete list and printed order forms available for your use. Or go to scorecardrewards.com. There you will asked to enter your credit card number to gain access to information about your ScoreCard program awards and opportunities.
