Effective September 1, 2011, there will be a $2.00 fee for printed statements, and a $1.00 fee to print a history on you account.

Unfortunately, the cost of paper, printing and postage have caused us to have to implement the above fees. However, you can avoid these fees by taking the following actions if you have not already done so.

Enroll in eStatements. This is the faster, more secure way to receive you monthly and quarterly statements. EStatements are generally available the first business day of the month, and you can access them from any computer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Once you start receiving eStatements, the system will save up to one year of statements which you can access and or print at your convenience. Avoid the $2.00 monthly fee and enroll in eStatements today.

Enrolling in online banking will allow you to see and print your account history from any computer at your convenience. You see the exact same history that we see here at the credit union, so there is no advantage in having us provide you with a printed history on your account. Online banking will also allow you to make loan payments, transfer funds (even to other credit union accounts if you have linked them with the credit union), see and print copies of cleared checks, and much more.

Both of the above services are free of charge, and a member service representative will be happy to assist you with the enrollment process if you need help.

With eStatements you will receive your monthly and/or quarterly statements online within 2 days of the close of the statement period. Once you begin receiving eStatements, your paper statements will be stopped, thus saving the paper used to print your statements and the envelope used to mail your statements to you. The system will store up to one year of statements once you begin, thus saving the cost of having to obtain copies of statements when needed. With online bill pay, most of your bills will be paid electronically saving the paper used to print and mail checks. As an additional benefit, both of these electronic services are safe and secure reducing the chances of identity theft most closely associate with paper transactions. Online bill pay is a FREE service as long as you pay at least 2 bills per month using online bill pay, and eStatements is also a FREE service with no restrictions! Just login to online banking (another free service) and click on the bill pay icon. Follow the instructions on screen and you will be enrolled and can start enjoying the benefits of online bill pay. For eStatements, you can either click on the convenient link on our home page, or login to online banking and click on the products and services icon. You will find the link to eStatements at the bottom of the page. Either method will take you to the sign on screen. Just click on the registration link and complete the registration process. You will begin receiving you eStatements the next statement cycle.

Once you start receiving estatements, you will no longer receive paper statements from the credit union. However, once you receive estatements, you may print or download them at your convenience. ACU Visa card holders can now access their Visa account online! Just go to our website, www.alamedacu.org, and click on the "Visa Account Access" icon, or go to www.ezcardinfo.com. Once you enroll, you will be able to view your latest transactions, retrieve copies of prior statements, pay your credit card payment from your ACU checking or savings account, and even create expenses reports. You can also set alerts that will e-mail you when you are approaching your limit, your new statement is available, or certain transactions post to your account. You can even have a reminder e-mail sent to you for that special occasion you don't want to forget!
